The annual TASTE OF THE MID SOUTH, an outdoor food festival showcasing an array of cuisine from area restaurants and food vendors, will be held in conjunction with the annual BLOCK PARTY FOR PEACE.  Complemented by music and exciting activities for families and people of all ages, the “Taste”, as we call it, will be held May 28-30, 2010. 

The Block Party for Peace is an event that was created to promote peace, empowerment, and opportunity within and surrounding the communities of Memphis, Tennessee.  The Block Party for Peace makes available opportunities in employment, education, health.  We provide quality family entertainment as an attraction to the residents and citizens of Memphis and surrounding communities.  Last year, over 15,000 people attended The Block Party for Peace.  This year we conservatively expect over 20-25,000 will enjoy the festivities over the three day period.
