Opportunity

Several local TV and radio stations participate in the event, providing extensive publicity for the event through public service messages, live broadcasts and additional programming.  Participating TV and radio stations since 2007 include: Fox 13, Hot 107 FM, The Loretta McNairy Show and others.

Restaurants, suppliers and other hospitality related businesses and organizations participating in the Taste of the Mid South will find it to be a comprehensive, yet cost-efficient marketing tool for their business.  There is also an opportunity to participate in pre-event promotions for even more exposure.   With over $500,000 in media impressions and an opportunity to be seen and heard by over 500,000 + people for four weeks leading up to the event, participating in this event will afford applicants the opportunity to build relationships with patrons to generate potential new customer traffic.  In addition, the good will generated by The Block Party for Peace and the heightened awareness created by the Taste of the Mid South will have a positive residual effect on participating restaurants year round.
